1966 Dodge Charger Restoration Project

This article is about the restoration of a first-generation 1966 Dodge Charger, currently nearing completion of its refurbishment in Poland.

The restoration is carried out by my cousin, Michał Płoski, in Harbutowice, near Skoczów in Cieszyn Silesia.

Michał specialises in the restoration of heritage cars, particularly old Škodas.

Recently he showed me around his workshop in Harbutowice, where I saw an impressive range of Škodas and other heritage cars undergoing restoration.

These cars invariably come at Michał’s workshop in very poor condition and he lovingly restores them to showroom condition.

During our recent holiday in Poland, Michał took us for a drive in his 1966 Dodge Charger, one of his latest projects.

We greatly enjoyed our drive in this 1966 Dodge Charger and I have to say that the roar of this 5.2 litre V8 engine is thrilling!
