Our Visit to The Charles Dickens Museum in London

Although the museum entrance is at 49 Doughty Street, Dickens lived at No. 48, where a blue plaque is visible in the photograph above. In the 20th century, No. 49 was later purchased and merged with No. 48, creating the museum as it exists today.
My wife and I visited the Charles Dickens Museum in December 2024, an experience that stood out among our museum visits. The fascinating exhibits made it one of the best we have visited.
The life and works of Charles Dickens, beautifully displayed in this historical house, immediately captivated us from the moment we entered.
The excellent staff were always available to answer questions with enthusiasm, further enhancing our experience.
For historical context, Charles Dickens lived at 48 Doughty Street between 1837 and 1839. Born on 7 February 1812, he died on 9 June 1870.
