In July 2025, my wife and I visited the beautiful city of Wrocław in Poland. These photographs were taken on Sand Island and Cathedral Island in Wrocław between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. The timing was perfect for avoiding the crowds, yet making the most of the early morning light.

Statue in memory of Jumbo in Worthing, West Sussex. The plaque under the statue reads: This statue commemorates one of the strangest episodes in Worthing’s maritime history. In November 1926 a baby elephant was washed ashore at today's Bayside Apartments. It may have come from a cattle ship which sank off Deal, Kent, during a storm.
